Crafty Monday Call out
A couple of photos from our weekend adventure to the coast. I love being welcomed by these quilts on the bed at my Dad's place. They're quilts I've made over the years. They seem to hold so many memories and stories. They are like old friends.
Now for a little call out to all you crafty ladies (& fellas) out there. The Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project are looking for crafty types to volunteer hand made goodies for their upcoming Exhibition and Fete. It's to be held at The Kilbride Centre in Albert Park on October 8th. So there's just enough time to get those knitting needles clicking, sewing machines purring or jams on the stove top in preparation for this great cause.
Take a peek at the amazing work they do & check out their August Newsletter for further details on how you can contribute your craftiness to this project.
While on the subject of local organisations doing fantastic work on a community level... if you haven't herd about The St Kilda Mum's and their wonderful re-homing of baby goods to the families in need. I highly recommend you check them out. 'Like' their Facebook page to be kept informed of how you can clear out all those unused baby clothes, baths, prams, cots etc lurking around & pass them onto those in need. It's run completely by volunteers and the work they do is incredible.
